Set Up Gmail account in Outlook Express |
1 - First of all your need to enable Pop3 in your Gmail account. Click here to view a tutorial.
2 - Start Outlook Express.
3 - Click on Tools / Accounts...
4 - Press Add / Mail...
5 - Type your name and press Next.
6 - Type your Gmail address and press Next.
7 - Type Incoming mail server (pop.gmail.com) and Outgoing mail server (smtp.gmail.com) and press Next.
8 - Type your Gmail address and password and press Next.
9 - Press Finish.
10 - Select your Gmail account and press Properties.
11 - Click Advanced tab.
12 - Mark both options This server requires a secure connection, type port 465 for Smtp and 995 for Pop3. Click on Servers tab.
13 - Mark My server requires authentication. Press Ok.
14 - Press Close.
